LONG SEARCH FOR WATER
A STORY OF OPTIMISM, DISAPPOINTMENTS, DETERMINATION AND FINAL SUCCESS
They started digging at the spot where water was detected, with hoe, pick and shovel
Confident water is there
It was not known exactly how deep they had to go
It took almost three months of digging
Water was found at the depth of 83 feet.
There was no rock to hinder their advance

Culverts lowered down the well one by one

The well was sealed: clean and cold water
Almost one year later attempt to pump water from the well shows the rate of water delivery is too low considering the consumption of the expected community.
